Biography
I am a consultant in Interventional Cardiology. I enjoy every day at work learning from the patients and my colleagues. I have special interests in ischemic heart disease, thrombosis, interventional cardiology and education. I enjoy participating in solving clinical complex problems, trying to find the best solution to each patient. In addition to clinical work I enjoy doing research. In research my main focus has been epidemiological studies, but I do also participate in RCTs. Topics that has been explored are: 1. Treatments with antithrombotics in patients with acute myocardial infarction and atrial fibrillation. 2. Effects of different stent types in patients treated with PCI. 3. Side-effects of different medical treatments in patients with cardiac diseases or COPD. At present I am responsible for planning and supporting education among our cardiology fellows, hoping to ensure competent and committed cardiologists in the future.
