The case

A 37-year-old male had been described as a healthy individual until he got severe flu with prolonged fever and fast heart rate.

After that:

  • left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) decreased to 45%
  • left ventricular thrombus was revealed
  • Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib) was developed
