Biography
Dr Dan McKenzie is a Consultant Cardiologist based in Bath with a specialist interest in complex angioplasty. He works full time at the Royal United Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Bath and contributes to the 24/7 Emergency Service at the Bristol Heart Institute, which covers the regional heart attack service.
He provides a contemporary, evidence-based service, which is patient focused, to investigate and treat a broad range of cardiovascular problems.
Dr McKenzie is closely involved in the education and training of Junior Doctors and Registrars and contributes to a number of national and international research trials and registries. He is the Treasurer for the British Cardiovascular Interventions Society (BCIS) and has previously sat on BCIS Council as a member without Portfolio and worked with BCIS Training and Education Group for many years.
Dan has 5 children and enjoys being involved with their lives and is also a keen sportsman who enjoys cycling, running and skiing.
