Biography
Dr. Shqipdona Lahu graduated with the highest distinction in Medicine from the University of Prishtina, Kosovo. She subsequently pursued doctoral research at the German Heart Centre Munich under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adnan Kastrati, focusing on antithrombotic therapy, particularly dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). She was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with summa cum laude honors by the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and her doctoral thesis was awarded the international Chorafas Prize. She is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and currently works as a resident in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at TUM Klinikum rechts der Isar. Her research interests include antithrombotic therapy, DAPT, PCI, and personalised strategies to balance ischaemic and bleeding risk.
