Doctor Akinori Higaki

Akinori Higaki, MD, PhD is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Cardiology, Pulmonology, Hypertension & Nephrology in Ehime University Graduate School in Toon, Ehime, Japan. He was born in 1983 and received an MD degree from Kobe University, Japan in 2009. He was awarded a PhD from Ehime University, Japan in 2018 for his work on vascular dementia and the renin-angiotensin system. He then continued his basic medical research at McGill University, Canada. In 2020, he returned to his hometown and resumed his work as a clinician. His current research interest in on the automated diagnostic imaging in cardiovascular disease. As a virtual reality engineer, he also specializes in extended reality application to cardiovascular medicine.
