Biography
Thomas J. Stocker, MD, is Professor of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at LMU Munich and a senior interventional cardiologist specializing in structural heart and complex coronary interventions. He holds additional board certifications in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine and advanced qualifications in Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Intensive and Emergency Care, Echocardiography, and Cardiovascular CT. His scientific focus is on advancing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients with heart failure and mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. Professor Stocker has extensive expertise in the design and leadership of multicenter prospective and randomized clinical trials evaluating transcatheter therapies for valvular heart disease. His work integrates interventional practice with clinical research, with the overarching goal of advancing evidence-based interventional treatment strategies for patients with structural heart disease and heart failure.
