Biography
I am currently vice director of the Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery Department in Milan at the IRCCS Galeazzi -Sant’Ambrogio in Milan and consultant at the Galway University Hospital, Ireland. I expanded my international experience as a visiting physician at Yale University in the US and as research fellow at the Bristol Heart Institute, UK. I hold PhD in Experimental Physiopathology. My expertise lies in advanced minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques, which has been a central focus of my teaching and research activities. I’m Associate Editor of Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine and sit in the Editorial Boards of JTD. I served as the Editorial Board of the MMCTS and JTCVS I joined the Cardiovascular Surgery WG in the 2021 and I’m currently in the Task force of the New Technology Task Force for EACTS. I’m author or co-author of more than 200 publications including book chapters with H index 46. I like playing football and listen classic music
