Biography
Dr Ahmad Jomaa is a Consultant Cardiologist and Deputy Head of Perioperative Diagnostics at the Heart and Diabetes Center NRW (HDZ Bad Oeynhausen), Ruhr University Bochum. HDZ-NRW is a leading center for heart transplantation and LVAD implantation. His clinical focus includes perioperative cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. Alongside his clinical and academic career, he has pursued healthcare leadership and management. He was co-founder and Project Manager of the Baheya Breast Cancer Center in Egypt, leading strategy, facility design and construction, staffing, and fundraising. Baheya has become one of the region’s leading breast cancer centers. He holds an MHBA from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. He is a frequent speaker at imaging and LVAD workshops in Germany and internationally and serves as a reviewer for several European Heart Journal titles (EHJ, EHJ-CR, EHJ-CVI, EHJ-CTS).
