Yasushi Sakata is the professor and chairman of cardiovascular medicine at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. He majored in medicine at Osaka University medical school and received PhD in medicine from Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine in 2002. His research interests include to clarify the mechanism and to establish new therapeutic strategy of heart failure. His research has been funded by government agencies since 2005. He is also the Assistant Director of Osaka University Hospital and the Director of Global Center for Medical Engineering and Informatics, Osaka University.
