Biography
Dr. Kleber is a retired researcher and physician in Berlin. He completed his training at the Poliklinik of Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and at Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard University in Boston. Since 1992, he has been Director of Interventional Cardiology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Chief Physician and Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin and the Heart-Thorax-Vascular Centre at Ernst von Bergmann-Klinikum Potsdam. He was Chief Physician of Cardiology and Medical Director at Paul Gerhardt Stift Lutherstadt Wittenberg and Herzzentrum Coswig. His scientific focus was on coronary heart disease and treatment with drug-coated balloons, structural heart disease, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. He has published over 150 scientific papers. Now retired, he is a visiting professor at the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité (DHZC) Berlin and senior advisor to the GKH in Berlin.
