Ms Jill Nicholls

Since 2005 I have been employed in the role of Advanced Heart Failure Specialist Nurse within NHS Tayside. From developing the service to leading service evolution and agile delivery of care, I have influenced the model of care in response to both patient and organisational needs by utilising a wide range of personal strengths such as clinical expertise, courage, problem solving, warmth and personnel collaboration. Throughout my career, I have steadily developed a wide range of professional & personal strengths from clinical knowledge & expertise within cardiology care, leadership, commitment, negotiation and communication strategies. I have relished the ability to be an early adopter of advanced practice both as specialist nurse and non-medical prescriber. As a result, I represent teams on a national level and support professional networks such as Scottish Heart Failure Nurse Forum.
