Biography
Katarzyna is an accredited advanced cardiology pharmacist working at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, UK. She leads both inpatient and outpatient cardiology pharmacy services across three clinics. As an independent prescriber, she manages patients in pharmacist-led medicines optimisation clinics, providing expert, autonomous care to individuals following myocardial infarction and to those with cardiomyopathies. Katarzyna leads the national Scottish Pharmacy Specialist Cardiac Medicines subgroup for Advanced Cardiac Therapies and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop new care pathways for treatments targeting rare cardiology conditions. With a strong focus on research and education, Katarzyna supports the development of pharmacy staff and presents at national conferences. She also completed a research project on innovative treatment strategies for heart failure in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde.
