Doctor Parastoo Dehkordi

Dr. Parastoo Dehkordi is Vice President of Research and Development at HeartForce Medical Inc., where she leads scientific and algorithm-development activities related to non-invasive cardiovascular risk assessment. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and has expertise in seismocardiography, biomedical signal processing, machine learning, clinical validation, and coronary artery disease risk stratification. Her research focuses on the development and evaluation of AI-driven electromechanical models that combine cardiac mechanical signals with clinical information to estimate the likelihood of obstructive coronary artery disease. She is also involved in clinical research design, performance evaluation, regulatory documentation, and risk management for digital health and medical-device technologies. Outside her professional work, Dr. Dehkordi enjoys reading fiction and exploring cinema. She speaks English and Persian.
