Organised by the EACVI Heart Imagers of Tomorrow Committee and the Turkish Society of Cardiology, this teaching course is specifically tailored for young cardiologists in training.

AUDIENCE

The course is designed for cardiology imaging specialists, cardiology specialty trainees, cardiac sonographers, radiology technologists, and other doctors with special interest in cardiovascular imaging.

PROGRAMME

The objective of the course is to deliver high-level education on Valvular Heart Diseases in Cardiovascular Imaging (CVI).

The course programme will cover theoretical and practical topics, and will include the following activities: interactive lessons, case based discussions, hands-on sessions.

2 courses will be running in parallel : one for Echo and one for CMR.

By attending the course, participants will :

  • Explore, navigate and practice 3D echo and CMR data for the assessment of heart valve disease through hands on sessions.
  • Master the integrated approach to patient evaluation and management with the guidance of imaging.
  • Have the opportunity to digest the tips and tricks about interpreting the images from cases with valvular heart diseases.
  • Appreciate the most up to date approaches for the critical decision making and management of complications in patients with valvular heart disease.
  • Be updated with the relevant EACVI documents on valvular heart diseases.
