Biography
Dr. Nina Ajmone Marsan is a senior cardiologist, specialized in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, currently working at the Leiden University Medical Center (The Netherland), where she is also directly involved in guiding percutaneous procedures for structural heart disease. She had her PhD on 3D echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in 2011 and she is now the supervisor of several PhD students and research projects mainly focused on the clinical applications of imaging in valvular and structural heart diseases. She has more than 400 publications in peer-reviewed journals and she is a FESC for scientific excellence. She is an Associate Editor of the European Heart Journal and of the European Heart Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging and of The Journal of American Society of Echocardiography. She is in the EACVI board as vice president elect for the echo section and Chair of the Task Forces and Special Interest Groups Committee.
