Dr. Denisa Muraru is a cardiologist specialized in echocardiography at Istituto Auxologico Italiano, IRCCS, San Luca Hospital (Milan) and Assistant Professor at University of Milano-Bicocca. She graduated from University of Medicine in Bucharest (Romania) and received the PhD degree in 2013 from University of Padua (Italy).
Her research interests are: right heart imaging, valve disease, cardiomyopathies, 3D echo and 2D/3D strain. She has co-authored >170 papers (H index 35) and 70 chapters. She is a regular invited speaker at ESC Congress, EuroEcho Imaging Congress and EACVI Teaching Courses, and co-Director of 3D Echo 360 meeting. She is member of EHJCVI and JASE Editorial Board, EHJCVI SoMe Editor, CASE and IMAGING Senior Associate Editor.
She is Vice-President Elect - Echocardiography in the EACVI Board 2020-2022 and chairs the EACVI Research & Innovation Committee. She also served as Co-Chair of EuroEcho 2021 Scientific Program and Chair EACVI Education Committee 2016-2020.
