Dr Xun Yuan achieved his primary medical qualification (MBBS.) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (STJU) School of Medicine in 2012. He took a 3-year post-graduate medical education and training at the Chinese Academy of Medical Science and Peking Union Medical College (CAMS & PUMC) as well as Tsinghua University (THU) School of Medicine and was awarded a double accredited M.Med degree in 2015. He is currently undertaking PhD training at National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
He finished medical training at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital (affiliated with SJTU), he then undertook his residence and Cardiology training (including interventional) at Fuwai Hospital (affiliated with CAMS & PUMC). He is a Clinical Research Fellow at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital NHS Trust since 2016.
His research interests are mainly focused on Interventional Cardiology (coronary and aorta), Biomechanical behaviour of aorta, and Image modality in Cardiovascular disease.
