Joshua Mitchell, MD, MSCI is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Director of the Cardio-Oncology Center of Excellence, Co-Director of the Amyloid Center of Excellence, and Director of the Cardio-Oncology Fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Prior to moving to Washington University in 2015, he served 11 years in the Army, both as a Field Artillery Officer and as a physician, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 75th Ranger Regiment. During his service, he reached the rank of Major and was awarded two Bronze Star Medals. He serves on the ICOS Scientific and Research Committee and Amyloidosis Working Group, and he chairs the ICOS Patient Advocacy Working Group. His clinical and research interests include better characterizing and understanding cardiovascular disease associated with cancer treatment, and the diagnosis of management of cardiac amyloidosis.
