Biography
Dr Elena Leonidou is a Cardiology Resident at Limassol General Hospital, Cyprus, and a PhD Candidate in Environmental and Public Health at the Cyprus University of Technology. She holds an MSc with distinction in Heart Failure, Cardio-Oncology and Cardiac Rehabilitation from the University of Thessaly. Her clinical interests include preventive cardiology, dyslipidaemia, heart failure, multimodality cardiovascular imaging, echocardiography and structural heart disease. She is actively involved in cardiovascular research, with a particular focus on chronic kidney disease, lipid management and cardiometabolic prevention. Dr Leonidou has authored peer-reviewed publications, presented her work at international scientific congresses including ESC and ERA, and contributes to medical education as an ERC Advanced Life Support Instructor Candidate and AMLS instructor. She speaks Greek, English and German and enjoys volunteering, travelling and spending time in nature.
