Professor Jing Liu

Dr. Jing Liu is a professor and the director of the Department of Epidemiology at Beijing AnZhen Hospital, Capital Medical University and the deputy director of the Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung, and Blood Vessel Diseases. Dr. Liu received her medical degree from the School of Medicine, Peking University and her PhD for Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. She did her training for biochemistry at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and received training for cardiometabolic disease at the Center for Human Nutrition, UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, TX. Her research focuses on epidemiology of cardiovascular disease. She led the establishment of the Beijing Surveillance System for Cardiovascular Diseases based on administrative health data, and played a key role in the WHO-Sino-MONICA project, the Chinese Multi-provincial Cohort Study and the AHA-CSC collaborating project-Improving Care for Cardiovascular Disease.
