Biography
Dr. Kim is the medical director of the Philadelphia Adult Congenital Heart Center, a joint program between Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Penn Medicine. She graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in English and University of Virginia for medical school. She completed internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, and adult congenital heart disease at Boston Children's with the Boston Adult Congenital Heart service.
Her research interests include risk stratification in ACHD surgery, psychosocial distress in ACHD and long-term outcomes in the Fontan including Fontan-associated liver disease. In addition, she is the fellowship director for the adult congenital heart disease fellowship. She serves on the Medical Advisory Board to the Adult Congenital Heart Association and is the USA representative to the International Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
