Born in Marsala on July 27, 1969, Dr. Gandolfo graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Palermo in 1993. She spent part of his training in US at the Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota in 1996 and in France in the Clinique Pasteur, Tolouse under the direction of the prof. Jean Marco. Dr. Gandolfo completed residency in Cardiology at the University of Palermo in 1997 with full marks, honors and publication of the thesis. After many years of practice as interventional cardiologist in ARNAS Civico hospital, one of the governative highest volume cardiac catheterization laboratories in South Italy, in December 2015 she joined ISMETT as Chief of Interventional Cardiology Unit and Director of Structural Heart Interventional program where she launched the structural heart program turning the department into one the first in Italy.
