Professor Otavio Berwanger

Professor Otavio Berwanger (MD; PhD) is a cardiologist and clinical trialist who has been working as Chair of the Steering Committee of large-scale international randomized clinical trials He coordinates a network of several Cardiovascular Research Sites in various countries. He is currently the Executive Director of the George Institute for Global Health UK, and Chair in Clinical Trials at Imperial College London-UK. He was the main presenter of several clinical trials in late-breaking clinical trial sessions at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions, American Heart Association Scientific Sessions and European Congress of Cardiology-ESC. He has published manuscripts in major medical journals such as New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, JAMA, BMJ, Annals of Internal Medicine, Circulation, JACC and the European Heart Journal.
