Ana Lousinha currently works in the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Pacing department of Hospital Santa Marta, in Lisbon.
After her Cardiology residence, during which she completed a fellowship in Investigation and Cardiovascular Imaging at the University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic, USA, she dedicated her training to Electrophysiology and Pacing. She participated in >3000 electrophysiological studies, ablations and cardiac electronic devices implantations (pacemaker, CRT and ICD). She is a cardiac electrophysiology specialist certified by national and international entities.
She obtained a postgraduation in Syncope (Royal College of Physicians of Ireland) and helped set up a Syncope Unit in her hospital, which she currently coordinates.
After defending her PhD thesis she also became an Assistant Professor for NOVA Medical School, University of Lisbon.
