Biography
Graduated from Pavlov Medical University (St. Petersburg, Russia) in 1994. 2001 received PhD in the field of atrial fibrillation at Lund University (Sweden) and 2002 moved to Sweden. Since then has been working in Arrhythmia Clinic as an electrophysiologist involved in both device surgery and catheter ablations. Since 2005 responsible for cardiogenetic service at Skane University Hospital. 2012 became professor of cardiology at Lund University. Dr Platonov is an active member of electrocardiology community and professional organisations: International Council on Electrocardiology (Council member), International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology (Board of Trustees), International Society of Computerized Electrocardiology (Board of Directors) and Computing in Cardiology (Board of Directors). Since 2018 Academic Secretary of the Swedish Society of Cardiology.
