Biography
Evrim Simsek, MD, is an Associate Professor of Cardiology and academic clinician at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in Izmir, Turkey.
He trained at Ege University Faculty of Medicine and completed his cardiology residency there. He is an EHRA Certified Cardiac Device Specialist, a former EHRA Young EP Ambassador for Turkey and member of the Digital Cardiology Working Group of the Turkish Society of Cardiology (TSC) and currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Arrhythmia Working Group of the TSC.
His clinical and research interests focus on arrhythmias in advanced heart failure, LVAD and heart transplantation patients, digital cardiology, remote monitoring, AI-supported arrhythmia detection. He holds a patent for a wavelet generation method and device for biomedical signals. He is fluent in English and enjoys Arduino, microcircuits, 3D printing, and hands-on DIY (do it your-self) electronic projects.
