Biography
Joaquín Perea is a cardiologist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Coronary Care Unit and staff physician in the Department of Research at Fundación Sanatorio Güemes. His professional work focuses on clinical cardiology, cardiovascular critical care, and clinical research. He is currently the Director-elect of the Council on Cardiovascular Emergencies and Critical Care of the Inter-American Society of Cardiology for the 2026–2028 term.
