Dr Elgamal is an Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) and Imaging Consultant at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, UK and National Heart Institute, Egypt. Dr Elgamal graduated from medical school and received her master and doctorate degree from the Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Her research interests are advanced cardiac imaging, heart failure in ACHD and systemic RV. Dr Elgamal is currently serving as a Board Member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and Chair of Web and Communication. She is also severing as a member for the ESC Communication Committee. She has previously served on the: EACVI CMR Lab Accreditation Committee, EACVI Excellence Awards Task Force , EACVI Cardiac CT Certification and Accreditation Committee and ESC Membership Committee.
