Biography
Patricia Guimarães is the Head of Cardiovascular Trials at the Academic Research Organization of Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo, Brazil. She completed her cardiology training at the Heart Institute of the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a fellowship in clinical research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) in Durham, North Carolina, United States. Her research interests include heart failure and antithrombotic therapies for coronary artery disease and atrial fibrillation. She has led randomised clinical trials in cardiovascular diseases and COVID-19 and has participated in clinical events committees for several studies.
