Biography
Dr. Jonathan Cunningham MD MPH is a heart failure cardiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, Boston USA. His research applies artificial intelligence to improve care for patients with heart failure as well as the efficiency of clinical trials. He has pioneered natural language processing methods for automated adjudication of clinical events from medical record text in cohort studies and randomized trials. Dr. Cunningham is also an expert in biomarker and large-scale proteomic testing in patients with heart failure, including as markers of treatment response. Clinically, he cares for patients with heart failure including those who are considering or have received a heart transplant or left ventricular assist device.
