Doctor Michael Raddatz

Michael Raddatz is a cardiology fellow and physician-scientist at UCLA. He earned his MD and a PhD in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University, before pursuing clinical training in internal medicine and cardiology at UCLA. His research defines the contributions of hematopoietic cells and inflammation to cardiovascular disease using in vitro, in vivo, and in silico approaches, focusing on clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) and macrophages in atherosclerosis. Clinically, he sees patients in UCLA's Cardio-Oncology Program, with particular interests in CHIP and the interface of cardio-oncology and immunology.
