Biography
Professor Zoltán Papp is the head of the Division of Clinical Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Debrecen, Hungary, where he also acts as vice-dean for scientific affairs. Professor Papp currently serves as secretary of the European Section of the International Society for Heart Research (ISHR-ES) and he had been chairperson of the Basic Science Section of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC (2012-2014) and had been board member of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC (2008-2014). Professor Papp’s research interests concern myocardial pathophysiology, cardiac contractility, cardiomyocyte physiology, ischemia-reperfusion injury, systolic and diastolic heart failure and myofilament targeted positive inotropic agents. He is currently Deputy Editor of ‘’ESC Heart Failure’’ (since 2014).
