Since his graduation as cardiologist & intensive care specialist in 2015 at the Catholic University Leuven (B) and the postgraduate course on heart failure at the university of Zürich (CH), doctor Timmermans joined ambitious team at the Hasselt Heart centre (B). His focus on heart failure and intensive care medicine is added to the high standard of delivering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the domains of imaging, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology in Hasselt. Until 2020, he has also worked at the University Hospital of Leuven together with the heart failure and transplantation team to give support in clinical research, the CRT, heart transplantation & LVAD outpatient clinics. Doctor Timmermans participated in the 2017-2019 Executive MSc Health Economics, Outcomes and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences at the LSE (GB). His main fields of interest are mechanical circulatory support, myocardial diseases, cardio-oncology and heart failure care pathways.
