Doctor Jorge Estuardo Aceituno Melgar

Dr. Jorge E. Aceituno-Melgar is a medical doctor graduated from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala. He completed his Master of Science with a Specialty in Internal Medicine at the San Juan de Dios General Hospital, in Guatemala city, where he served as Chief of Residents. His interest in Cardiology led Dr. Aceituno-Melgar to study Cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiology "Ignacio Chávez" in Mexico city, where he is currently Cardiology Chief of Residents. He also carried out a training in Echocardiography and Ultrasound in the Critically Ill Patient. He has a particular interest in research in echocardiography, valvular heart disease, and cardio-oncology.
