Having the goal of disseminating and implementing cardiovascular MRI worldwide, Dr Fernandes has participated in the training of more than 55 centers across 26 countries in the world, working with different organizations and research partners. He has authored and co-authored 52 manuscripts in peer-reviewed indexed journals, including JCMR, Blood, Circulation, JAHA, Haematologica, Radiology, Atherosclerosis, the American Journal of Cardiology, the International Journal of Cardiology and European Radiology (http://www.researcherid.com/rid/C-7366-2012). He was also the Editor of the textbook “Cardiovascular MRI and CT” published in Portuguese and coordinated two Brazilian National Guidelines on CMR and CCT while establishing strong advocacy policies to foster the acceptance and reimbursement of CMR in the country. In SCMR, Dr Fernandes participates in the Editorial Board for the JCMR and acted as the Abstract Chair for the 2017 Annual Meeting and Program Co-Chair in CMR2018.
