Prof. Maciej Kostrubiec (MD, PhD, FESC, FEACVI) is a Consultant Cardiologist specializing in heart failure and cardiovascular imaging at Mater Private Network in Cork. After graduation of Warsaw Medical University, he completed his clinical training and worked as a cardiologist and scientist at major university hospitals in Warsaw. He has focused on echocardiography, right heart failure and venous thromboembolism. Subsequently, he worked as a consultant cardiologist at Mercy University Hospital and Cork College University (2018-2019), Mid Essex Hospital NHS Trust (2019-2023) and Bristol Heart Institute (2023-2024), where he advanced his skills in imaging (cardiac CT and CMR). Prof. Kostrubiec is a member of the Polish Cardiac Society and the Royal College of Physicians, and HFA/ESC-certified specialist in heart failure. He is also an expert at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and leads the MSc/PGDip Cardiology Programme in cooperation with the University of Buckingham and Learna.
