Dr. Unica Francisco, a filipino native of Marikina, daughter of an engineer and an english teacher, is the youngest among 3 siblings. She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing at the prestigious University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. She continued her medical education in the same year and in the same institution. After graduating from the College of Medicine, she pursued her internal medicine residency training at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Sta. Mesa, Manila. In 2017, after graduating from internal medicine, she started her adult cardiology fellowship at St. Luke's Medical Center - Global City. She passed the cardiology board examination last November 21, 2020, at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.
