Professor Mamas Mamas

Professor Mamas trained in Medicine at the University of Oxford and is currently a Professor of Cardiology at Keele University and is a practicing interventional cardiologist with a special interest in intra-coronary imaging. Professor Mamas has held several positions within the ESC including serving as a Board Member of the EAPCI (2022–2024), task force member and review coordinator of guidelines and is a Board member of ESC Cardio Oncology Council and a member of the ESC data science committee. He leads the BCIS National PCI Registry, serves as an Associate Editor of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions and is Senior Clinical Editor of TCTMD. . He has published over 1100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, cited over 80,000 times using big data in populations with cardiovascular disease and has a h-index of 110 and is ranked in the top 2% of the most highly cited scientists globally according to the Stanford Top 2% Scientist Rankings
