Biography
Dr. Marco Vecchiato is an Associate Professor in Sports and Exercise Sciences at eCampus University, Italy, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Padova, where he completed his medical training (MD, PhD). He also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Padova. His research focuses on sports cardiology and cardiovascular prevention, with particular interest in cardiovascular risk in athletes, exercise testing, extreme environmets and the role of physical activity in health and disease. He is a member of the Primary Care and Risk Factor Management Section of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology. Alongside his academic activity, he practices as a sports medicine physician and promotes initiatives aimed at encouraging safe physical activity and cardiovascular prevention. Outside his professional activities, he enjoys mountain hiking, videogames and outdoor sports and speaks Italian and English.
