Biography
Antonia Buongiorno is a Cardiology trainee at the University of Genoa, currently working in the Heart Transplantation Unit at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, where she is involved in both clinical activity and research in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. She holds a University Diploma from Sorbonne University in "Mechanical circulatory support and artificial heart technologies". Her main clinical and academic interests include advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and multimodality cardiovascular imaging, with a particular focus on structural and valvular heart disease, as well as cardiac CT for periprocedural structural assessment and coronary imaging. She is a member of the ESC Working Group on Cardiomyopathies and an EACVI member.
