Biography
Chao Gao M.D., Ph.D. serves as Director of the Department of Cardiology, The First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China (Anhui Provincial Hospital). He was trained at Air Force Medical University of China, Radboud University of the Netherlands, and the National University of Ireland Galway. His primary interests focus on translational basic research of CAD/clinical trials of CAD and structural heart disease. He leads the REC study group and has published more than 100 articles in journals such as The Lancet, BMJ, European Heart Journal, JACC, and Cell Metabolism.
