Biography
I hold a degree in Pharmacy from Faculdade Unida de Campinas (2015), a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Federal University of Goiás (2018), and a PhD in Pharmacology from the State University of Campinas (2022). My academic path is primarily focused on cardiovascular pharmacology, with an in-depth exploration of the underlying mechanisms of cardiovascular physiology and electrophysiology. My research has centered on the action of dopamine and endothelium-derived catecholamines, with particular attention to the properties of 6-nitrodopamine (6-ND) and its innovative role in regulating the cardiovascular system. During my PhD, I made significant contributions to the characterization of non-neuronal catecholamines, challenging traditional paradigms that attribute cardiovascular regulation solely to the autonomic nervous system. My work demonstrated that the vascular endothelium is capable of synthesizing and releasing dopamine and 6-nitrodopamine, revealing new layers
