Doctor Megan Coylewright

In her position as Director of the Structural Heart Program at The Erlanger Heart and Lung Institute, Dr. Megan Coylewright is leading a highly skilled heart team to treat valvular and structural heart disease. Dr. Coylewright serves as the PI for multiple trials, and is on the global steering committee for CHAMPION AF, a large study comparing DOACs to left atrial appendage closure for stroke prevention. Dr. Coylewright’s research focused on diversity, equity and inclusion compliments her role as Vice Chief of Cardiology for Faculty Development within southern Tennessee's only academic cardiovascular program. Dr. Coylewright completed her medical school and residency training at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD. Five years of cardiovascular training were spent at the Mayo Clinic in her home state of Minnesota.
