Biography
Dr Boris Delpire is a cardiology resident at KU Leuven and a PhD fellow in Sports Cardiology. His research explores the intersection between athletic performance, rhythm monitoring, and ventricular arrhythmias, aiming to move beyond single spot-check assessments toward individualized, long-term risk stratification. Clinically, he is part of the sports cardiology teams at Jessa Hospital and UZ Leuven, where he is involved in the cardiovascular evaluation and follow-up of competitive athletes. He contributes to several large-scale research initiatives, including the Pro@Heart and Master@Heart projects, which provide annual cardiovascular screening and longitudinal follow-up of elite and professional athletes.
