Dr. Laila Osama AbdelWareth is the Chair of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Scientific Officer at the National Reference Laboratory, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University Cairo, Egypt. Completed her post graduate training at the University of British Columbia- Canada and obtained the Canadian and American boards in Medical Biochemistry and Clinical Pathology respectively. She also obtained a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration (EMHCA). She is an active member in various scientific societies and has several publications to her credit in the field of laboratory medicine. Dr. Laila is a recipient of Dr. Arthur Bloomfield Award for Excellence in Medical Education as well as Sheikh Rashid Award for Scientific Outstanding.
