Lars’ laboratories have a proven track record in developing and applying cutting-edge experimental, statistical, and computational methods to investigate the genetic basis of complex phenotypes, the mechanisms of transcription, and the molecular systems underpinning disease. Many of the technologies he has pioneered have since become gold standards that are widely applied by others, and have so far led to the founding of two health technology companies: Levitas and Sophia Genetics. He currently holds positions at Stanford University, the Stanford Genome Technology Center, and EMBL.
