Biography
Greg Marcus is Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Associate Chief of Cardiology for Research at UCSF Health, and Endowed Professor of Atrial Fibrillation Research. He completed his internship, residency, and served as Chief Medical Resident at Stanford. He completed his general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at UCSF. As part of an NIH-funded career development award, he then completed a Masters in Advanced Studies in Clinical Research at UCSF. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed research articles, served on the writing committee of the recent AHA/ ACC/ HRS Management of Atrial Fibrillation guidelines, is the Chair Elect of the American Heart Association’s Committee on Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco, is an Associate Editor at JAMA, and has been elected to the Association of University Cardiologists and American Society of Clinical Investigation. He is a practicing EP and oversees multiple research programs.
