Biography
Kris Vijay, MD, MS, FACC, FNLA, FHFSA is currently the Medical Director at Arizona
Heart Foundation. He is a Heart Failure and preventive cardiologist, a lipidologist,
fellowship trained in endocrinology, and nephrology, an ardent researcher, and an
educator. Trained in India, England, and USA and with a Master’s degree in clinical
Research from University of Michigan, he has 30 plus years of clinical experience,
investigator in 200 plus clinical studies and published 100 plus peer reviewed manuscripts.
He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at U of Arizona, faculty at College of Health
Solutions at Arizona State University, a past Governor of the American College of
Cardiology, Arizona, recipient of multiple awards, and author of a recent book “Invoking
your inner therapist in Heart Failure” , Dr Vijay volunteers around the world serving the
underserved to reduce the burden of Diabetes, Heart, and kidney disease through his
nonprofit organization, TWINEPIDEMIC.
