Biography
Dr Irena Mitevska is a cardiologist, doctor of philosophy in medical science, working at the University Cardiology Clinic in Skopje. Her main scientific interests include noninvasive cardiac imaging (echocardiography and nuclear imaging), as well as diagnosis and treatment of valvular heart disease, acute and chronic heart failure, ischemic heart disease, risk factors and cardiovascular prevention. Dr Mitevska has been actively involved in several research projects and international studies. She currently works at the Intensive Care Unit at University Cardiology Clinic in Skopje. Her professional education in nuclear imaging and echocardiography was performed in several eminent European clinical hospitals including Royal Brompton Hospital in London, Leiden University Hospital in Netherlands, University Hospital -AKH in Vienna and Clinical Center in Ljubljana.
