Biography
Dr. Patrick Pender is an interventional cardiologist based in Sydney, Australia, with clinical and academic interests in complex coronary intervention, intracoronary imaging, and spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). He is undertaking a PhD under the supervision of Associate Professor Sarah Zaman, focusing on outcomes and interventional management strategies in SCAD through the Australian and New Zealand SCAD Registry (ANZ-SCAD).
Dr. Pender is actively involved in translational cardiovascular research, including projects in SCAD, artificial intelligence in coronary angiography, and high-risk PCI. He has presented research at national and international scientific meetings and contributes to multicentre registry and clinical trial programs across Australia and New Zealand. Alongside his research work, he is committed to clinical education, mentorship, and advancing evidence-based interventional cardiology practice.
